Two men were arrested in Biak around 21 October 2012 and have been held to face trial, charged with possession of weapons. However we have little information about their case. A media report at the time reported that the police were accusing the men of possessing material that could be used in bomb-making, with similar charges to those used against other activists in Timka and Wamena at around the same time. Another report puts the arrests in the context of KNPB demonstrations which occurred across Papua on 23 October. As at April 2013 the trial continued.
