Indius Sambom also known as Ivan Sambom was arrested on 9 April 2020 in Timika with the suspicion of treason among others. He was an employee of the Freeport Indonesia mining company. Sambom along with Temianus Wandikbo and Elpiau Magai were arrested in relation to a shooting incident which took place in Kuala Kencana Office Building 1 Mimika last March. The three are accused of supplying the ammunition and information to the TPNOPM. Indius (Ivan) Sambom’s initial hearing took place on 27 October 2020. Sambom specially was accused of providing information to the armed group. The second hearing was going to take place on 10 November 2020.
