On 11 July 2014, four people were arrested by security forces in Wamena, reportedly because they chose not to vote in the Presidential Elections. The four men – Sudi Wetipo, Elius Elosak, Domi Wetipo and Agus Doga – were detained at Jayawijaya Regional police station.On 13 July, there were released without charge.
