On 26 August 2018, Papua Regional Police (POLDA) arrested Alex Wayage at his home in Wamena. Alex was arrested on charges of possession of ammunition found at his home (309 rounds of ammunition hidden by Isai Wilil in Alex’s house).
Alex Wayage was convicted of possession of ammunition on 22 January 2019 and is currently serving his sentence of 1 year and 6 months imprisonment.
