Ambrosius Mulait is a West Papuan student activist and the head of a student organisation called the Association of Papuan Central Highlands Students in Indonesia (AMPTPI/Asosiasi Mahasiswa Pegunungan Tengah Papua se-Indonesia).
He was arrested on 31 August 2019 by Jakarta Regional Police while protesting with dozens of other Papuan students in front of the Jakarta Police Force Headquarters demanding the release of Charles Kossay and Dano Tabuni, who were arrested the previous day.
He was released on 27 May 2020 after serving a 9 month jail sentence.
