Yandu Kogoya (20) and Abua Yikwa (19) were accused of participating in clashes with the military and police resulting in the death of a soldier on 23 September 2019. Prosecutors sought one year and six months imprisonment for each of them. They were found guilty of violating Article 170 paragraph (2) section 3 of the Criminal Code on beatings and sentenced to one year in jail on 20 April 2020.
