Yagarsom Asso was arrested on 31 October 2019 with the accusation of violating Articles 187 section (3) and 160 of the Criminal Code for taking part in a protest during the Uprising in Wamena. He was sentenced to 9 months in prison and currently serving his sentence in Biak prison.
